We are a nonprofit organization registered and operating in Tanzania dedicated to empowering students through the acquisition of essential ICT (Information and Communications Technology) skills. Our focus is to bridge the digital divide and equip young minds with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world. At Students in Tech Initiative, we firmly believe that every student should have equal access to quality education and opportunities, regardless of their background or resources. We understand the transformative power of technology and aim to level the playing field by imparting ICT skills that are vital for success in the 21st century

What we Teach to Our Students
Basic Computer Skills
Foundational computer literacy is essential for academic and professional success. This field covers operating systems, word processing, internet navigation, and productivity tools that enable students to confidently use technology for communication, research, and everyday tasks. It ensures that students develop the technological fluency needed in modern workplaces.
Coding and Software Development
At the core of digital innovation, coding and software development empower students to create applications, websites, and platforms that solve real-world challenges. Students will learn programming languages, software engineering principles, and algorithmic thinking, enabling them to design efficient, scalable, and user-friendly digital solutions.
Artificial Intelligence and Robotics
This field introduces students to the fascinating world of artificial intelligence and automation, helping them understand how machines can learn, adapt, and perform tasks with minimal human intervention. ICT Trainings and Workshops
We organize interactive workshops and training sessions where students can develop essential ICT skills sucha as Coding and Programming, AI and Robotics, Creative Design and Multimedia, Basic Computer Skills and Networking and Cyber security
Provision if ICT Devices and Setting-up Computer Labs in schools
with the help of sponsors and partnering organizations SIT offers Computers, tablets, laptops, projectors, printers and other resources to help teachers and students in accelerating the use of ICT in Teaching and learning activities
Grants and Scholarship
We believe in rewarding exceptional talent and commitment. Students who demonstrate outstanding performance and dedication in their ICT studies may have the opportunity to receive scholarships and grants, enabling them to pursue further education or launch their tech-related projects.
Community Outreach
We actively engage with schools, colleges, and local communities to promote the importance of ICT education. By partnering with educational institutions and other organizations, we extend our reach and create opportunities for students who might not have had access to technology education otherwise
